Affiliate Notice

This article may contain affiliate links. If you buy something through these links, I will earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Hi, it’s Patrick.

Nobody wants to be misguided by hidden advertising or recommendations online and I want to be fully transparent about what affiliate links are and what it means for you.

This site shares my journeys, including destination guides and food reports. The advice I provide is ALWAYS independent. At the same time, this blog forms part of my business, and it generates an income, including from advertising.

Adverts may be in bounded boxes, have a picture, or be a highlighted link in text. ALL adverts come from affiliate programmes like Amazon, GetYourGuide, Viator or TripAdvisor, which are well known. If you go on to click or make a purchase, I may receive a small commission. This is at NO additional cost to you. I recommend ONLY items or experiences that I own or have experienced, which I think are of quality, or that I’d like to buy.

Also: not every link is an affiliate link. I provide many links to airline, train or ferry companies, travel gear providers and hotels, with which I have no relationship, but which provide you with a shortcut that I think you might want.

If you have questions or thoughts about this, don’t hesitate to talk to me about it. You can contact me using this form.

I am very grateful that you read Planet Patrick. I hope this notice ensures you are fully informed about affiliate links.

Patrick
