Founded in 1936, Aer Lingus is famous as Ireland’s national airline and is based at Dublin Airport. “Lingus” is a derivation of the Irish “loingeas” which means “fleet” in English.

Aer Lingus is part of the IAG group alongside BA and Iberia. It is ranked as a 4 star airline and is rated 54th in the Top 100 Airlines in the world (both Skytrax).
